Chef, restaurateur, and best-selling author Bobby Chinn takes to an outdoor studio kitchen in Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia. Bobby approaches Asian recipes with his signature sassiness, injecting a fusion spin into traditional dishes. Prompted by a different theme each episode, the series features the enigmatic chef as he explores the historic and cultural factors that have influenced Asian culinary methodology. Viewers are invited to follow Bobby as he reworks traditional recipes much to the amusement (and sometimes, horror) of a discerning public audience.


1. Hot

Bobby kicks off the series on a red hot note, preparing Thai Green Curry, Pepper Crab, Madras Chicken Curry, and a spicy tropical fruit soup.

2. Salads

Bobby cooks Vietnamese crab salad on the beach, investigates the use of kimchi in Asian chicken salad, and prepares traditional Thai beef salad for a local family.

3. Soups

By the scenic shore of the Singapore River, Bobby whips up hot and sour soup, chicken rice soup with ginger, and much more.

4. Vegetarian

Calling all herbivores! With a beautiful gold mosque as his backdrop, Bobby whips up a vegetarian kofta with curried spinach sauce, eggplant glazed in miso, and stir-fried tofu with roasted peanuts.

5. Sweets

For his final course, Bobby satisfies his sweet tooth as he prepares Asian desserts such as mango sticky rice, banana and coconut tapioca soup, and carrot halva.
